Supplement of Vitamin C for horses

Vitamin C contains 100% ascorbic acid and is a supplementary feed for horses. Vitamin C acts as an antioxidant and is needed for the body's formation of collagen. The vitamin C status of the horse can also affect the immune system, reduce the deterioration of articular cartilage, reduce the development of osteoarthritis and have a positive effect on wound healing. The older horse may have a reduced production of vitamin C, as well as horses in hard work consume more vitamin C than they have time to produce and therefore can benefit from extra supplements.
