Gut Balance is based on a beneficial yeast culture which, together with the added prebiotic, contributes to maintaining the horse's microflora and stimulating the development of a healthy intestinal culture. Together with the added vitamins and minerals, Gut Balance provides the right conditions for optimal nutrient absorption and a strong immune system.
Gut Balance is a prebiotic supplement for horses with loose or watery faeces. Contains prebiotics in the form of both FOS and MOS as well as vitamins that are all needed for the horse's well-being.
Balance is the answer
The horse gets its nutrition and energy from the microbial fermentation that takes place in the large intestine. The environment in the large intestine is sensitive and an imbalance in the intestinal flora can have negative consequences on the horse's health. Imbalance can be caused by e.g. feed change, long-term stress and antibiotic use.
Imbalance and disturbances in the gastrointestinal tract mean that the amount of good bacteria decreases while unwanted and pathogenic bacteria increase. To help the horse balance the intestinal flora and activate the good bacteria, prebiotics can be given.
Prebiotics are nutrition in the form of fibers and sugars that are specifically meant to benefit the good intestinal flora already present in the gastrointestinal tract.
Watery and loose stools
Many people experience that their horses get watery stools in connection with feed changes. Many also testify that their horses are sensitive to certain roughages such as hay silage or silage. In the case of this type of problem, there may have been an imbalance in the intestinal flora.
Gut Balance works to create balance in the intestinal flora and favor the good bacteria. Through this, the horse's ability to digest feed can be improved and the excrement returned to normal.
