During physical exertion, the horse loses large amounts of electrolytes via sweat. Electrolytes that the horse must ingest to restore the body's balance. Imbalance between fluids and electrolytes can be manifested by slow recovery, exhaustion, dehydration, impaired muscle function and impaired performance.

Electrolytes can be given to all horses. It is appropriate to give a higher dose on the days the horse trains and competes, or if it suffers from loose stools.

Dosage
10 ml (10 g) 100 kg kroppsvikt per dag vid lättare arbete:
- Large horse (500 kg) give 50 ml/day
- Pony (250kg) give 25 ml/day
Ge en dubbel dos vid hårt arbete eller vid betydande svettförlust.
Blanda i fodret eller dricksvattnet.
