However, their nutritional needs and the digestive system's requirement for food mass to process remain the same. But what does this really look like? The dog's gastrointestinal tract differs significantly from that of humans and is adapted to handle eating large portions infrequently. This function was crucial for wild dogs—when a hunt was successful, they needed to eat as much as possible in one sitting.
As a dog owner, you have most likely been concerned about your dog’s stomach at some point. Perhaps their stool looked unusual, or the dog suddenly became constipated or had very loose stools. What can we do to help our dogs in such situations?
