FAQ - Horse
Loose stool
"My horse has loose stool, what can I do?
A horse with loose stool often has an imbalance in its gut microbiota. To restore a healthy bacterial flora, it is important to feed in a way that supports beneficial bacteria. Increasing the amount of forage and reducing the intake of starch-rich concentrates can be beneficial for the horse. Another effective approach is to supplement with prebiotics or probiotics.
To provide the right support for your horse’s digestive health, Trikem has developed supplements tailored to different needs:
- Harmony Fix - A highly concentrated probiotic with live yeast culture. The "first aid" solution for horses with loose stool or diarrhea. A powerful boost of beneficial bacteria.
- Harmony- A synbiotic containing both live yeast culture and prebiotic fibers. An excellent daily supplement for horses with irregular or loose stool, as well as for supporting nutrient absorption in horses with a dull coat and recurring skin issues.
- Gut Balance- Designed with two types of prebiotics, Gut Balance is ideal for horses with loose or watery stool, such as free fecal water. It works quickly and effectively to absorb excess moisture and is particularly useful when a horse reacts to a feed change.
