Dog eats grass
"My dog eats grass—why does it do that?"
It is relatively common for dogs to eat grass, and there can be several reasons for this. Some dogs simply enjoy the taste, while others do it to induce vomiting. If your dog eats grass and then vomits, it may be experiencing stomach discomfort, have something stuck in its digestive tract—possibly after eating something inappropriate—suffer from food sensitivities, or have gone too long between meals. In some cases, it may also indicate an underlying health issue.
Frequent or repeated vomiting is not normal, and if the problem persists, you should always consult a veterinarian. Also, be cautious if your dog consumes large amounts of grass, as it can get stuck in the stomach or intestines.
